THE STRING PROJECT, a photography collection about humanity’s shared connection, began in January 2018 and features photographs from around the world all connected together with the same string. Nix (from Indiana) and Cortez (from Argentina) are a husband and wife travel photography team published in National Geographic and recognized in the International Photographer of the Year Photography Awards, National Geographic’s Travel Photographer of the Year Contest, Chromatic Awards, among others. They have exhibited their work in galleries around the world including New York City, Athens, Barcelona and organized public exhibitions in India, Kenya, Italy, and Mexico. *Book is printed in the USA and proceeds go to the nonprofit The String Project Inc. created to help people who lack basic needs.
